Varun Sandesh Biography
Varun Sandesh is an actor and playback singer of Telugu movies. He started his film career through Sekhar Kammula's hit movie Happy Days in 2007. Sandesh is the grandson of noted Telugu writer Jeedigunta Ramachandra Murthy who has been associated with All India Radio, Hyderabad station for 28 years. His younger sister, Veena Sahithi, is a singer and lyricist. He had a short lived relationship with his co-actress, Shraddha Das. He is the brand ambassador for Kalanjali store in Andhra Pradesh right now.
Varun Sandesh was born in Rayagada, Orissa on July 21, 1989. But later his family shifted to Hyderabad and US, where he had his education. In 2007, seeing an advertisement of a film audition, he attended it though he didn’t has any pervious acting experience. He was planning to pursue medical studies during this time. But destiny was something else and he landed as the lead role of the movie, directed by Sekhar Kammula. The movie had an ensemble cast comprising almost entirely newcomers. The movie was a critical and commercial success and received six Filmfare Awards South and three Nandi Awards.
Before the release of his debut movie, he got second movie. Telugu film producer Dil Raju signed Sandesh for his film Kotha Bangaru Lokam. The movie released in 2008 was also a commercial success. This movie was decalred a blockbuster and placed Varun among the established youngsters of Telugu film industry. Sandesh's third film was AVM Productions' Evaraina Epudaina (2009) for which Varun did playback singing.
But his fourth release, Kurradu, a remake of the 2007 Tamil film Polladhavan was a commercial failure. It was followed by flops, Maro Charitra, Happy Happy Gaa, Kudirithe Kappu Coffee, Brahmigadi Katha and Priyudu. The romance flick Yemaindi Ee Vela (2010) was his only successful movie in two years. G. Neelakanta Reddy's Chammak Challo and Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K’s D for Dopidi are his upcoming movies.
