Vaigha Biography

Honey Rose Joseph, better known as Vaiga is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Malayalam movies. She also appears in Tamil films. She marked her acting debut through ‘Alexander the Great’ helmed by Murali Nagavalli. Her other noted works are ‘Casanovva’, ‘Kaliyachan’, ‘The King & The Commissioner, ‘Ordinary’, ‘Kuliscene’, ‘Mundrumalar’, ‘Oru Nerinte Nombaram’ and ‘Panchabhootam’. She was last seen in 2017 horror comedy, Lechmi. She has been into modelling profession before she took to acting. ‘Mundrumalar’ was her first Tamil film and she played female lead.

Vaiga is the screen name of Honey Rose Joseph, a native of Kottayam, Kerala. Pala is her hometown, and she was born into a Christian family. She graduated in Commerce from B. C. M. College, Kottayam and also pursued MBA in HR. To give focus on her acting career, Vaigha now resides in Kochi. Vaiga started her professional career through modelling. She was rechristened as Vaiga by a Tamil director who casted her in his film.

She made her acting debut with the film ‘Alexander the Great’ directed by Murali Nagavally with Mohanlal playing the male lead. She was seen in a brief role in the film. She also starred in Mohanlal starrer ‘Casanovva’ and a few more works before she marked her Tamil film debut. She played the lead lady in Tamil film ‘Mundramalar’ directed by R B Sasidharan. It was her first film in a lead role after playing a series of Malayalam films in supporting roles as well as brief roles. Another newcomer Jimmy played the male lead in this Tamil film.
