Tomichan Mulakuppadam Biography 
Tomichan Mulakuppadam is a very successful film producer and distributor associated with Malayalam cinema. An NRI businessman, as a film producer, he is best known for financing the most commercially successful Malayalam movie, Pulimurugan (2016) starring Mohanlal which became the first Malayalam movie to reach the elite 100-crore club, and also 150-crore club. In 2017 he repeated the success with Ramaleela starring Dileep, and the movie also managed to become a super hit, though the lead actor was spending his time in jail then, accused of assaulting his female co-star. He has also produced one more movie in Malayalam, Pokkiriraja in 2010, in which Mammootty and Prithviraj shared screen space for the first time.
His birth name is Thomas Antony. But he is better known as Tomichan Mulakuppadam in Malayalam cinema. He is a businessman by profession, based in gulf, who ventured into film production and distribution. He launched Mulakuppadam Films, film production and distribution company in 2007. Malayalam movie Flash, starring Mohanlal and Parvathy was his first production venture, which failed at box office. In 2010 he produced Pokkiriraja starring Mammootty and Prithviraj which fared well at box office.
He made Pulimurugan in 2016, on a whooping budget of Rs 25 Crore, one of the most expensive films ever made in Malayalam. It was risky to invest this huge amount in Malayalam cinema, and he had to face a lot of hardships for its production, distribution and release. Within one month of release, the movie reached 100-crore club, becoming one of the fastest regional films to achieve this feat. The film also starred his elder son Romin playing Mohanlal’s childhood role. Romin also played a small role in his next production venture, Ramaleela. Thomas Antony is married to Rosakutty.
