Thalaivasal Vijay Biography 
Thalaivasal Vijay is an Indian film actor and dubbing artist who concentrates in the films of Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages. He usually acts in character roles and supporting roles.
He was born on 4th August in Saidapet in Chennai and is living in Kilpauk area of Chennai. He was the eldest son to his parents and he wanted to become a doctor. His father worked in railways as an officer and so his parents lived in Bhilai. He had to stay with his grandmother at Chennai and completed his schooling at Corporation School. He could not study medicine and was only able to get a degree.
He then completed a course in catering technology and started his career as a vacuum cleaner salesman and for sometimes he worked as a waiter at Udupi restaurant in Chennai. He worked to complete his Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management and joined Apolla Hospitals as a Marketing Executive dealing with medical insurance.
He worked with the choreographer Chandralekha and started performing dances in various places since 1986. He traveled to USSR and Germany along with the troupe. He got an exposure as an actor through the television series Neelaa Maala aired on Doordarshan and later entered the film industry. His debut film was Thalaivaasal and so he came to be known as Thalaivaasal Vijay.
His daughter Jayaveena is an excellent swimmer who has got many awards and honors to her credit including the Bronze medal in breaststroke swimming at National Games. Vijay entered the film industry in 1992 and in a time period of ten years, he has acted in more than hundred films.
Some of the films that he has acted include Thevar Magan, Mahanadhi, Magalir Mattum, Vishnu, Karuvelam Pookkal, Kadhal Kottai, Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, Devathai, Nandhini, Santhosham, Periyathambi, Priyamaanavale, Kannukkul Nilavu, Iraniyan, Vallarasu, Ennavale, Kasi, Paarthale Paravasam, Devan, Bagavathi, Unnai Ninaithu, Devathaiyai Kanden, Aayudham, Ponniyin Selvan, etc.
He has worked as dubbing artist for the films Nala Damayanthi, Vettaikaaran, Magic Magic 3D, Kannathil Muthamittal, Vettai, etc.
