Tessa Joseph is a very familiar face on Malayalam film screen. She is best known for playing character roles in the recent times. Made her film debut in the year 2003 with Mammootty starrer, Pattalam playing megastar’s heroine, very soon she became a familiar face on small screen. She is also known as a television host who hosted the popular TV show Hello Good Evening in Kairali TV. She is a successful model too, who has been featured in several television ads. Now she is a popular character artist of Mollywood, who was seen in Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum, Rajamma @ Yahoo, Marupadi and Gold Coins.

Tessa hails from Manimala, Kottayam. She spent her early days in Delhi where she completed her school education. She has been a successful television host before she debut films. She made her film debut in 2003 playing the female lead in Pattalam. Director Lal Jose spotted her after watching the show, Hello Good Evening she was hosting on Kairali TV. She was casted opposite Mammootty in this comedy flick. However after the flop of the movie, she took a break from big screen and moved to mini screen. She was also active in TV commercials. She also settled with her family life and took a break from acting.

She made a comeback to big screen in 2015 after a long break of 12 years. She was seen in Balachandra Menon’s Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum. The film was a comeback of the director Balachandra Menon to the direction field after a short break, and the movie also featured the yesterdays’ top Malayalam pair, Shankar and Menaka, who worked as a pair after a long period. In 2015, she played the character role, Rajamma in Kunchakko Boban starrer, Rajamma @ Yahoo. Gold coins - is her most recent release where she played the role of a mother of two kids. In real life too, Tessa is married and a mother of two.
