Tathoi Deb Biography

Tathoi Deb is an actress and anchor associated with Bengali entertainment industry. She is quite popular as a child artist of Bengali cinema. She is a trained dancer and successful TV anchor too. She along with Aritra hosted the junior version of Bengali television dance reality show Dance Bangla Dance on Zee Bangla. She got later associated with the shows - Take a Break, Dhoom Dhamaka, Dhay Dhamaal etc and the TV soap - Ek Poloke Ektu Dekha. Since 2005 she is also associated with film movies. Akai Aksho, Priyotoma, Agnipariksha, Chander Bari, Nawab Nandini etc are some of her early movies in which she played a child artist role.

Sharanya Deb was born on 11 October 1996 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She lost her father at a younger age. Lala Biswajit Deb and Jamuna Deb are her parents. She has two elder brothers. She studied at National Gems Higher Secondary School. She made her film debut in 2005 at the age of 9. Akai Aksho (2005) was her debut flick. It was followed by Priyotoma, Agnipariksha, Chander Bari, Nawab Nandini, Neel Rajar Deshe, Aamar Pratigna, Shibaji, Sob Choritro Kalponik, Prem Amar, Chalo Paltai, Khokababu and Ek Fota Bhaalobasha were her film releases later.

She is quite successful on small screen also. Dance Bangla Dance Junior 2008 was her major break on small screen. The show bagged her many television awards including Best Female Anchor award at Sambad Pratidin Telesamman, Best Entertainer at POGO Amazing Kids Awards (PAKA) and many more. Chalo Paltai directed by Haranath Chakraborty was a major break to her film career in the recent times. She portrayed the pivot role of Munni in the film, which bagged her Best Child Artist award at Big Bangla New Talent Awards.
