Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar Biography 
Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar is an Indian actress, who became a part of the Oscar Award Winning Hollywood Film - Slumdog Millionaire (2008). In the movie, she played the role of the teenage version of 'Latika', the lead actress. Being a member of the cast, she received 15th Screen Actors Guild Award for 'Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture'. Currently she has signed her first adult role – a Tamil movie, Santhithen Unnai directed by Nagamaneci and she co-stars Ram Saravanan and Nagamaneci himself. It is Tanvi’s first signed role as a heroine and it is a romantic thriller.
She was born in Mumbai on 5 March 1995 to Ganesh and Sharmila. She has one younger sister. Her father is a bank employee and mother, a technician in Hinduja Hospital. Currently she lives in Goregaon, a suburb of Mumbai. Currently she studies at Vibgyor High, Mumbai. She got the offer of Slumdog Millionaire (2008) through her uncle who was an acquaintance of Loveleen Tandan. Her uncle asked her to attend the audition of the movie and also recommended her name to the director stating that she studies Indian classical dance forms. Loveleen Tandan was one of the co-directors of the movie. Thus Tanvi played the adolescent version of Frieda Pinto in Danny Boyle's Oscar-winning "Slumdog Millionaire".
Though the academy winning movie initiated a debate in India whether the film reinforces Western views, this young actress insists that Danny Boyle loves Mumbai regardless of what the critics say. Later she took a break and continued with her studies. She is to play her first movie as a heroine - Santhithen Unnai directed by Nagamaneci and the director is impressed by her acting skills. The movie also features debutants Kaushik Ram and Vettri.
