T. P. Gajendran Biography 
T. P. Gajendran is a film director and actor from Tamil cinema. He plays character roles on screen. He is the son of comedy actress of yesterdays, T. P. Muthulakshmi. He joined film industry in mid-1980s, and later turned a successful director with small budget films. During his second phase of career in the early 2000s, Gajendran directed a series of medium-budget family comedy drama films featuring Prabhu in titular lead roles. Budget Padmanabhan (2000), Middle Class Madhavan (2001) and Banda Paramasivam (2003) are among those releases.
T. P. Gajendran was born into a family with filmy background. His mother T. P. Muthulakshmi was an established actress of Tamil cinema, and following his mother’s footsteps he also chose the same field of acting. He marked his screen debut with Chidambara Rahasiyam in 1985, playing the brief role of an advocate. From there on he started accepting brief roles with different directors, and also tried his luck in direction of movies. Veedu Manaivi Makkal in 1988 was his debut film as a film director. In a career spanning to 35 years, he directed more than a dozen of films, and also played brief roles in more than 50 films.
Gajendran appeared in Tamil movies such as Oviyavai Vitta Yaru, Kanavu Variyam, Kanaga Durga, Ilamai Oonjal etc in the recent times. Magane En Marumagane in 2010 was his last movie as a director, and currently he is busy with his acting roles. Pammal K. Sambandam, Majaa, Padhavi Paduthum Paadu, Arivumani, Chandramukhi, Devathaiyai Kanden, Pithamagan, Banda Paramasivam, Thirumalai, Pithamagan etc are some of his acting roles. He has shared screen space with almost all lead superstars of present times.
