T. M. Karthik Biography 
Tim Karthik aka T. M. Karthik is a noted film and stage actor who predominantly works in Tamil movies. A prominent theatre personality, he has been associated with sixty productions and 500 performances before he made his debut to silver screen. He has been associated with theater for more than two decades and now plays the dual role of film actor and theatre personality. He played a cameo in Ang Lee's “Life of Pi”. Nanban in 2012 earned him appreciation, where he was seen in the character role of Rakesh (Pricetag). Since then he has been regular on Tamil film screen.
T. M. Karthik is associated with theatre world since 1994. He worked in the corporate world before he became an actor. He quit the job in 2013 to fully associate with theatre. Though he had an illustrious career in theatre, he entered movies only in the year 2007. Till than he has already acted in more than 60 plays and 500 stage plays. Mani Ratnam’s Bollywood film Guru marked his film debut in 2007. Sarvam in 2009 marked his Tamil debut. Since then he has acted in the films - Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru, Madrasapattinam,Nanban, Kola Kolaya Mundhirika, Deiva Thirumagal, Raja Rani, Endrendrum Punnagai, Vellaiya Irukiravan Poi Solla Maataan, 10 Endrathukulla, Indru Netru Naalai etc.
His comic role as Rakesh (Ileana's price-tag obsessed fiancé) in Nanban was his first noted appearance on big screen. He was seen in 10 Endrathukulla, portraying the role of a doctor. He launched Sideways, the corporate training division of Evam, after quitting his job in corporate sector. An active part of Evam, he was involved with training actors. He believes that it was his corporate life that drove him closer to theatre.
