Sushant Divgikar Biography

Sushant Divgikar is an Indian television anchor, actor and choreographer who has been crowned as Mr. Gay India 2014. He represented India at Mr. Gay World 2014 at Rome, Italy on August 31, 2014 and won 3 sub-titles, the only delegate from India to get this achievement. He reached ‘Top 10’ of the contest and won 3 subtitles/special awards more than any contestants of the show. He received Mister Gay World Congeniality Winner 2014, Mister Gay World Art Challenge Winner 2014 and Mister Gay World Online Voting Winner 2014 subtitles. He is also the winner of Mister Gay World Team Sports 2014, earning the recognition of getting maximum special awards in Mr. Gay World contests. He is one among those announced contestants of the forthcoming season of the controversial show on Indian television – Bigg Boss Season 8 and will represent LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community, the highlight of the show.

He was born in Bandra, Mumbai in 1990. His elder brother, Karan Divgikar is a former Gladrags model who has done top assigmnets. He schooled at Arya Vidya Mandir School in Bandra East. Divgikar is a certified Psychologist and holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial psychology. He has been a member of Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company and performed modern and contemporary art forms like salsa, jazz etc.

He was a contestant of Big Switch Season 3 reality show and won best performer of the task multiple times. This Mumbai-based model is a successful VJ too. He represented India at Mr. Gay World completion to set an example to other homosexuals of the country. He has been supported by his parents and used to buy his favourites dolls since childhood. He has a huge collection of Barbie dolls. He has been an anchor for UTV Bindass and has also hosted many events.
