Suresh Joachim Biography

Suresh Joachim is a Tamil Canadian film actor and producer. He is a winner of multiple-Guinness World Records and has already broken 60 Guinness records across the world. He did so as a social service for underprivileged children around the world. In 2010, he produced one Tamil Indian movie titled, Sivappu Mazhai starring himself in the lead role, aside Tamil stars Meera Jasmine, Vivek and Suman. The film was made in 11 days 23 hours 45 minutes, giving rise to a new Guinness World Record. He played the role of Nandhan, a Lankan youth who kidnaps Meera Jasmine, a Minister's daughter and a television journalist. The movie was shot in Chennai which included 1000 crew members and the whole movie runs for 2 hours and 3 minutes times. The previous record was held by ‘The Fastest Forward’ (UK 1990).

Joachim first discovered the Guinness Book of World Records for the first time in the year 1991. From there onwards he dreamt to break Guinness records that could make another record. His first attempt took place in his hometown Colombo, Sri Lanka, where he made a unique and strange record. He ran at least a little bit every hour for 1000 consecutive hours thus totaling a distance of 3,495 km. It was conducted for 42 continuous days from August 19 to September 26 in the year 1996. Joachim traveled 225.44 km, up and down escalators at the Westfield Burwood Shopping Centre, Burwood, Australia for his second attempt to break a record.

Joachim next balanced for 76 hours and 40 minutes at Vihara Maha Devi Park Open Air Stadium, in Sri Lanka, which marked another Guinness record. Most of his records are related to sports and athletics and the attempt to make the fasted movie, was the first one of this kind. He is to attempt World Peace Marathon - journey through 70 major cities in 120 countries, travelling 10,000 km in 270 days for his commitment to help poor children.
