Suresh Chandra Menon Biography 
Suresh Chandra Menon, popularly known as Suresh Menon is a film director and cinematographer associated with Tamil films. He has also acted in a few movies in lead roles, the most notable one being ‘Pudhiya Mugam’ (1992) opposite his wife Revathy – the film known for its melodious songs composed by A. R. Rahman. Later the couple got divorced in 2003. They have no children in this wedlock. He is known for directing many documentaries, and has also directed the film, ‘Pudhiya Mugam’, where he played male lead aside his wife. It was both a critical and commercial success.
Suresh Chandra Menon is of Malayali origin though associated with Tamil films. He was a cinematographer of Tamil films before he moved to direction in the 1990s. He met actress Revathy during one such film shots and they fell in love. Revathy is also of Malayali origin and her real name is Asha Kelunni. They got married on 10th September 1986 with their parents’ blessings. Though several newspapers and magazines reported different stories about the couples quarrel, their marriage survived till 2002. The couple has no children. They had been living separately for the last 10 years till divorce was granted in 2013.
Suresh Menon has directed two movies with Revathy as the female lead. After ‘Pudhiya Mugam’ (1992), he directed one more Tamil movie with Revathy playing the female lead - Paasamalargal in 1993. Aravind Swamy played the male lead and actor Ajith played a minor role in this film. Currently he is not active in film industry and is known as a social worker. He is into business now and currently runs the restaurant Azuri Bay in Chennai and a boat restaurant in Kochi.
