Suja Karthika Biography

Suja Karthika is a Malayalam film actress who made her film debut through Rajasenan movie ‘Malayali Mamanu Vanakkam’ in 2002. In this movie she played second lead aside Jayaram, Prabhu and Roja. Her character name was Revathy and she played Jayaram’s fiancée and cousin. Rakshakan, Runway, Njan Salperu Ramankutty, Kilukkam Kilukilukkam, Ee Snehatheerathu, Parayam, Achanurangatha Veedu, Lokanathan IAS, Pauran, Nerariyan CBI, Maampazhakkaalam, Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam, Naaturajavu and Ponmudipuzhayorathu are her noted works. She mostly played second lead or supporting artist throughout her film career. She has appeared in around 15 movies. Though her roles are short, they were easily noticed. Currently she works as a college lecturer.

She was born in Kochi in 1985. Her father serves as the director of Marian academy of Management Studies, Puthuppaady. She is excellent in studies and has won gold medal for MBA from Mahatma Gandhi University. After studies, she started her teaching career at SCMS, Aluva. Currently she is a facility of Marian academy of Management Studies, Kothamangalam where her father serves as the director. She is married to Mumbai based Merchant Navy engineer Rakesh Krishnan since 2010 and a son was born to them in 2013.

Her real dream was to become a doctor. Since younger days, she gave importance to art and classical dance forms. That’s how she got her first film. She was one among those artists who never quit her studies in the magical world of cinema. Even while moving from one location to another, she used to carry her books. She gave more preference to education than movies. After studies, she moved to teaching and after marriage she took permanent break from film industry.
