Srinda Ashab is a Malayalam actress known her portraying her roles with a ‘humorous’ touch, but with seriousness. Her best appearances where she displayed her humour sense include – 1983 (2014) and Annayum Rasoolum (2013). She played parallel lead in one of the biggest hits of 2014 – ‘1983’ as the illiterate wife of Nivin Pauly and received a loud applause for her humorous portrayal of the innocent and illiterate village belle. She asking Navin, a die-hard cricket fan, “Who is this?”, pointing to Sachin Tendulkar’s poster on the wall, on their first night is one of the highlights of the film.

 
22 Female Kottayam was her first break to movies, though it was a small role. She appeared in a glamorous role. Later she appeared in less significant roles of Thattathin Marayathu and 101 Weddings before Annayum Rasoolum happened to her. She played the supporting role of Fazila, Abu’s wife in the movie. Her role as a demure housewife with humorous touch quickly brought her to limelight. She was seen almost in a similar role in ‘1983’. Soon after the release of the movie, a picture went viral over net - Srinda Ashab with a caption “The only woman who does not know Sachin Tendulkar!” Her portrayal of Susheela with funny antics and dialogues became instant hit and now she is a recognized actress in the industry. She is also compared to veteran actresses like Sukumari and KPAC Lalitha, who is known for portraying similar types of roles.

She plays a cop with a humor touch in her upcoming release - Masala Republic. Srinda has now landed the lead role in Anoop Kannan's Homely Meals. Manglish and Rasputin are other upcoming movies. She is also known for the supporting roles in North 24 Kaatham, Happy Journey and Artist.
