Sricharan (actor) Biography
Sricharan is a south Indian film actor and dubbing artist associated with Tamil and Telugu movies. He mostly portrays character and supporting roles in south Indian cinema. As a film actor he is best known for the roles he played in the movies - Billa II, Payanam and Thani Oruvan. He has also worked as a dubbing artist in Tamil cinema, when he dubbed for sports legend Sachin Tendulkar for his acting debut Sachin: A Billion Dreams in 2017. The film was originally made in Marathi and Hindi languages, and Sricharan dubbed Master Blaster’s voice to Tamil.
His full name is Sricharan Rangarajan. He was born on 24 April 1981 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Currently he resides in the same city with his family. He marked his acting debut with 2008 Tamil film Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai, which won him critical acclaim. After that he was seen in the film, Payanam in 2010.
The film directed by Radha Mohan gave him a big break to acting field, and he played the noted role of Yusuf Khan and Ranganathan, which earned him accolades. After that he started receiving many film offers. As the movie was released in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously, he became a familiar face among Telugu audiences too, and he got many offers from Telugu film industry since then. The movie was released as Gaganam in Telugu.
180 and bilingual Gouravam are other movies he did in Telugu language. Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum, Thani Oruvan, Billa II, Nootrenbadhu etc are his Tamil releases. In 2017 he marked his debut as a dubbing artist in Tamil cinema. He is also known for his work associated with singer Poojan Kohli.
