Sreeja Biography 
Sreeja is a popular television actress who ruled Malayalam small screen in the late 1980s and early 1990s. She also appeared in a few Malayalam and Tamil films, in lead and supporting roles. Yet she is still remembered by audience for numerous lead roles she played for Doordarshan serials in the late 1980s. She played Mohanlal’s heroine in 1989 action film, Indrajaalam. The evergreen romantic song – Kunjikiliye was pictured on Mohanlal and Sreeja for this film. She also played female lead in Malayalam comedy film starring Thilakan and Mukesh, Cheriya Lokavum Valiya Manushyarum, and also the directorial debut of Jagathy Sreekumar - Annakutty Kodambakkam Vilikkunnu. She also played supporting roles in a few movies.
She was born in Thiruvananthapuram on 18 April 1971. Both her parents - Sreedharan and Usha are theatre artists. Sreeja started her acting career through stage plays in the 1980s. Before that she has appeared as a child artist for 1982 movie, Nidhi. Later she moved to television and cinema. She joined Doordarshan in the late 1980s at a time when Malayalam serials have just started. Sreeja played lead role in most of the shows she acted, and was a prominent and extremely popular actress of small screen too. She was featured in a popular video – Nadiye Pennennu Parannu in 1990 for Doordarshan, based on the theme of women empowerment.
Though she played lead roles in a few Malayalam movies like Annakutty Kodambakkam Vilikkunnu, Indrajaalam and Cheriya Lokavum Valiya Manushyarum, she failed to receive good roles in Malayalam cinema. She was seen in Malayalam movies – Mazhavilkavadi, Chanakyan, Mutharamkunnu P.O., Oru Maymasa Pulariyil, Dr. Pasupathy, Kuttapathram etc, apart from a few Tamil movies - MGR Nagaril, Cheran Pandiyan, Mounam Sammadham etc. She played female lead in Tamil film, Cheran Pandiyan opposite Sarathkumar. The film completed 200 days at box office. In 1993 she got married to Sandhana Pandian from Tamil Nadu and disappeared from screen forever.
