Soumya Bollapragada Biography 
Soumya Bollapragada is a south Indian film actress who predominantly works in Telugu cinema. She has links with cine world. She is the niece of actress Gouthami and great granddaughter of the Indian thinker U. G. Krishnamurti. She made her debut in the cross over film The Angrez (Hyderbadi Urdu), and later worked in many movies, predominantly in Telugu. She mostly plays supporting roles. Mugguru, Ninna Nedu Repu, Ramadandu, Poga etc are among her Telugu releases, and she was last seen in a special appearance for the Telugu film, Chandamama Kathalu (anthology film). She is also a Model, Writer and Director by profession, and ran a monthly magazine named Evoke before.
Her name is credited as both Soumya Bollapragada and Soumya Divakar. Her father Divakar is an engineer in the merchant Navy. She has one younger brother who works as a software engineer. She was born in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. She has studied journalism and her dream was to choose the same field. Since school days she wrote poetry and has won three International awards in Poetry at the age of 14. She also ran a monthly magazine Evoke for three and half years in Visakhapatnam.
She began her modelling during her college days, and also received training from Koushik Ghosh. As a model, she took the modelling assignments of KPL Coconut Oil, Sun Flower shopping mall ad, Anarkali Boutique ad and others. She marked her film debut with 2006 film, The Angrez. She played the supporting role of Tanya in the film. After that she accepted film projects belonging to Tamil and Telugu languages. She did a few films till 2014 and vanished from screen.
