Sonika Chopra Biography

Sonika Chopra is a successful model from Mumbai, who plays supporting roles in Bollywood movies. She also appears in television roles. She is best known for playing the role of a doctor in ‘Kya Super Kool Hain Hum’ (2012). This comedy movie was hit at box office and her role was well noticed. She played Suniel Shetty’s wife in Vikram Razdan's ‘Lights, Camera, Action’. Though the film not met with box office success, she got noticed for this role. She was also seen in 2015 thriller film, Dhrishyam, starring Ajay Devgan and Tabu. The movie was one of the biggest hits of 2015.

She is married and the mother of a baby. Yet she dabbles between her personal life and professional career. A successful model, she has been featured in many TV ads also. Prior to her entry to modelling she worked as a copywriter in a reputed ad agency and later worked as a creative director. She has handled projects such as IDFC, Axis Bank, Raymonds, Domino’s Pizza etc and has hosted over 50 shows as a modeler.

She is currently associated with television. She played the role of Taj Begum in the historic show on Colors TV channel - Veer Shivaji. She appeared in a 25-minute short film, Kush where she played the role of Gita. She shares screen space with Shayaan Sameer and Anil Sharma for this short film which was shortlisted by the Academy for 10-live action short films. Since 2015 she is associated with the series, Tashan-E-Ishq where she plays the role of Pinni Taneja. The show is aired on Zee TV.
