Sidhartha Siva Biography 
Sidhartha Siva is a reputed award winning film director, actor and screenwriter associated with Malayalam cinema. Known as one of the talented directors at present, he has directed only 3 movies in three years till now and 2 of them bagged National awards and have been screened at several film festivals. His debut film 101 Chodyangal (2012) won Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director at National Film awards. His second film – Zahir (2013) was screened at 19th International Busan Film festival. In 2014, he made his third movie – Ain, which earned numerous awards and accolades. The movie earned National award for best regional film and its lead actor Musthafa earned a Special mention at Jury. Siva is also a character artist, who excels in comic roles.
He was born in Kaviyoor, near Thiruvalla of Pathanamthitta district in 1985. His father Kaviyoor Sivaprasad is an internationally acclaimed film director, known for movies like Ormaynde Theerangalil. Following his father’s footsteps Siddhartha started off directing short films and tele-films. In between he played noted character roles in Malayalam commercial films; Kudumbasree Travels, Thirakkadha, Ivar Vivahitharayal, Vikramadhithyan, Bad Boyz, Love 24 X 7, Bodyguard, Puthiya Theerangal, Ayyalum Njanum Thammil etc. Yet he prefers to stay behind camera.
He graduated from Marthoma College, Thiruvalla where he met Ann Mary Abraham. They got married in Chakkulathukavu Bhagavati temple in 2012. Siva is a cancer survivor. His latest movie is titled – Ain. Though the movie won many awards including National award for best Malayalam film, State award for best story and Padmarajan award, many theatres backed away from the release of Ain in favour of Vijay's Puli. Later many cine artists came forward with appeal directly to audience to watch the film. The movie was released in three theatres in Kerala.
Apart from a National award, his debut film 101 Chodyangal bagged Rajatha chakoram at IFFK 2013, John Abraham smaraka puraskaram, Mohan Raghavan Award for Best Director and Best Film at NOIDA international film festival. His second release Zahir earned a special jury award for direction at Dada Saheb Phalke international film festival.
