Shyam Mashalkar Biography 
Shyam Mashalkar is an Indian actor associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He plays side roles and friend-kind of roles in Bollywood films, and also appears in television soaps, mostly portraying supporting roles, and comic roles. His role as Itesh bhardwaj in popular soap drama, Sasural Genda Phool during 2010-2012 was well noticed. As a Bollywood actor, he is known for Jab We Met (2007), Kya Love Story Hai, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009) and Kidnap (2008). His role as Ranbir Kapoor’s friend in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani was well noticed. He played the comic role of style freak Shyam in SAB TV’s Gutur Gu 2.
He was born in Mumbai, and his birthday is on 5th April. He is married and has one son. Shyam Mashalkar started his film career with Kya Love Story Hai in 2007, co-starring Tusshar Kapoor and Ayesha Takia. He played the noted role of Romeo (Arjun's Friend) in the film, and very soon he got similar kind of side roles in Bollywood. Very soon he bagged a supporting role in super hit film, Jab We Met, followed by a full-length role in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani which earned him a lot of attention.
He gained recognition through a series of supporting and comic roles in television as well, and slowly he switched completely to television industry. Shriman Shrimati Phir Se, Sasural Genda Phool, Chintu Ban Gaya Gentleman etc are among his noted appearances. Sasural Genda Phool was his first TV show. His first Marathi film was Lalbaug Parel: Zali Mumbai Sonyachi released in 2010. He has also acted in numerous TV ads. His favourite hobby is travelling.
