Shruti Ramachandran Biography

Shruti Ramachandran is an Indian actress associated with Mollywood. She shot to fame after playing the pivot role of ‘Pretham’ – Clara in the 2016 comedy horror thriller, Pretham co-starring Jayasurya. She was earlier seen in a brief role of Susheela in the highly acclaimed 2014 film Njaan. She played Asif Ali’s girlfriend in the hit film, Sunday Holiday. She played her first full-fledged lead role in 2018 through the thriller film, Chanakya Thanthram, co-starring Unni Mukundan. She played the role of Andrea. In 2018 she has also marked her Telugu and Tamil debut.

Shruti Ramachandran hails from Ernakulam, Kerala. She is a multi-facet person, who is an architect by profession. She currently works as assistant professor in Azadi Engineering College, Vytila. She got married to her longtime boyfriend Francis Thomas in 2016, soon after her film, Pretham was released. She played the role of the victim Clara who turns ghost in search of revenge. Her role as ghost was entirely different from stereotypes Malayalam screen has experienced before. Her role as betraying lover of Asif Ali in Sunday Holiday was also well received. Currently she wants to concentrate on to her acting career, along with teaching profession.

She is a trained classical dancer. She received training in dance forms from Narayani Anoop, the daughter of Mullassery Raju. It was Narayani who recommended her name to director Ranjith for the movie, Njan in 2014. The director was in search for a new face for the film, and the actress played the role of Dulquer Salman’s girlfriend in the film. Her marriage was a low key affair attended by close relatives and friends only.
