Sheeba Akashdeep Biography

Sheeba Akashdeep is a former Indian model of 1990s, who has appeared in a few Bollywood films too. Earlier she was known by the name Zeeba, in the fashion world. Mr. Bond, Miss 420 and Sanam Teri Kasam are some of her noted Bollywood works. She has been one of the top models of India in the early 1990s when fashion world has just started opening its eyes in India. She has been featured in several magazines including Filmfare. She is married to film director - Akashdeep Sabir, with whom Sheeba has worked in the movies, Ghaat and Miss 420. The Indian rapper Baba Sehgal made his debut through the movie Miss 420 released in 1998 and the popular song, “Aaja mere ghaadi mein beit jaa” was pictured on both.

Sheeba is a resident on Mumbai, originally a Punjabi. She started her career in the early 1990s as a model and has been very successful too, a time when only a few models were known across the country. With Mid 1990s she appeared in a few movies, though not successful. Her delayed project, Sanam Teri Kasam was released in 2009 which include a star cast of Saif Ali Khan, Pooja Bhatt and Atul Agnihotri. She was paired with Atul Agnihotri, for the movie which was previously titled – Sambhandh and audio release was done in 1996.

She met her future husband on the film set of Pyar karo. They fell in love in the film sets of Miss 420. After seven months of courtship they finally got married in 1996. Akashdeep and Sheeba Sabir own the production house, Cinetek Telefilms. They revived it after years through a television series - ‘Bhoot Aaya’, and want to recreate a niche for themselves on television as well as Bollywood.
