Seeman Biography
Senthamizhan Seeman, shortly called Seeman is a film director, actor and screenwriter of Tamil cinema. He is also known as a politician and activist in Tamil Nadu. He is the Chief Coordinator of the organisation "Naam Thamizhar Iyakkam" which later became a political party of Tamil Nadu - "Naam Thamizhar Katchi" in 2010. As a director, he debut with the film Panchalankurichi in 1997 and Amaithipadai (1994) marked his onscreen debut in a bit role.
Seeman was born in Sivagangai of Tamil Nadu on 08 November 1970. His parents are Senthamizhan and Annammal. He is married to K. Kayalvizhi, daughter of K. Kalimuthu, former speaker of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. They got married most recently in September 2013. He was inspired by his mentor, Bharathi Raja that he took up direction as his career. Earlier he has acted in a bit role in the movie, Amaithipadai as a person sitting beside Thyagu. As film director, Panchalankurichi in 1997 marked his debut. The movie starred Prabhu and Madhoo in lead roles. His second movie as a director was Iniyavalae, a romantic film. In this movie too, he casted Prabhu once again as its lead actor. With his third film Veeranadai (1998) with Sathyaraj and Kushboo in lead roles he took a temporary break from the industry.
After a break, he returned back with the commercial hit movie, Thambi. The movie starred R. Madhavan, Pooja, Manivannan, Biju Menon and Vadivelu in lead roles. For this movie he won Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Dialogue Writer. He has directed one more movie, Vaazhthugal. In this movie too, he casted Madhavan in lead role aside Bhavana and Venkat Prabhu. He has also published two books - Vendradhu Aariyam; Thunai Nindrathu Dravidam and Thiruppi Adippaen. As an actor, most recently he appeared in Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA and Kandupidi Kandupidi.
