Sayesha Saigal Biography

Sayesha Saigal is a south Indian film actress who is to debut Bollywood with Ajay Devgan starrer, ‘Shivaay’. This much awaited project is directed by Ajay Devgan himself. Sayesha is the grandniece of legendary Bollywood actors - Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar. Born into a family of actors, both her parents are Bollywood actors active in the 1980s. Her parents are separated now and her father is married to noted actress of 1980s – Farha (Tabu’s sister). In 2015, Sayesha made her film debut with the Telugu movie Akhil: The Power of Jua. She played the female lead opposite Akhil Akkineni, son of ace actors Nagarjuna and Amala.

Sayesha was born in Mumbai on 12 August 1997, into a family with strong film background. Her mother Shaheen Ahmed is the niece of famous actress Saira Bhanu. Her father Sumeet Saigal is known for the movie – Imaandaar, while her mother is popular with Maha-Sangram. Her mother has briefly dated Salman Khan during the college days. Sayesha’s parents got separated in early 2000s and for the past 14 years she is living with her mother. Her father later remarried former actress Farah (ex-wife of Vindu Dara Singh). She is a single child to her parents. Sayyeshaa did her Primary Education in England till Grade 5 and after that she moved to Mumbai, where she completed her studies. She took formal training in dance in London in the Latin-American style of dancing when she was 10 years old. Later she learnt Odissi, Kathak, Belly Dancing and Hip Hop.

Sayesha made her acting debut with the Telugu movie Akhil: The Power of Jua. The film received mostly negative reviews from critics and was declared as a box office flop. Udanchoo, directed by Vipin Parasher is her upcoming flick, where she shares screen space with Rajneesh Duggal. This actress is to make her entry to Bollywood with much anticipated project - ‘Shivaay’, the directorial debut of Ajay Devgan.
