Santosh Shukla Biography

Santosh Shukla is a Mumbai-based Indian actor, who has done negative roles in films like Salman Khan starrer ‘Jai Ho’. He remained in limelight for becoming a participant in the controversial reality show for celebrities, Bigg Boss Season 6, hosted by Salman Khan. This stint with the show also helped him to bag a few film roles such as Jai Ho, and a few TV roles. A small-time actor, he has also been a part of popular TV shows like Kahani Chandrakanta Ki, Adaalat etc. As a film actor he was last seen in Desi Kattey, where he essayed the supporting role of Babloo Chodhry. The actor has been declining roles on television to get more roles from Bollywood.

 

Santosh Shukla was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and he celebrates his birthday on 2nd July. He came to limelight for the first time, after he became a part of Bigg Boss Season 6, in 2012, hosted by Salman Khan. He was earlier a part of the mythological serial Mahabharata. He stayed in the house for a month before he got evicted on 14th December 2012. Shukla regarded him to be a short tempered person, and that he depicted his real self in the show. He was unhappy with a few housemates in the show, and expressed his happiness to get out of the show. He was very close to Aashka Garodia during his stay at the mud house, but he felt a drastic change in her behaviour after they entered Bigg Boss House.

 

After his stint with the show, he marked his film debut with Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho, which was earlier titled as Mental. His negative role in the film capitulated him to fame, and helped him to bag a few television roles too. However as the actor was aiming big, he turned down a few offers from television such as Colors’ Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa.
