Sanjeev Reddy Biography

Sanjeev Reddy is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter, who has worked in both Bollywood and south Indian cinema. He made his impressive debut in 2012 with Bollywood film Login which is based on cybercrimes and its effects on netizens. The film received rave reviews from critics. Later he reverted to Telugu Film Industry as a story writer, and wrote the script of Ladies & Gentlemen which was critically and commercially acclaimed. He directed Telugu film ABCD – American Born Confused Desi in 2019, remake of Malayalam film with the same title. It marked his debut as a director in Telugu cinema.

He was born on 1 May 1983 in Mahaboobnagar, Telangana state. He was into finance sector before joining entertainment industry. He worked as Chief Manager for SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited, Hyderabad. To pursue his dreams to become a filmmaker, he joined television industry as an assistant director. He worked an assistant director for Telugu serial Yuva which is produced by Annapurna studios. Later he worked under Krishna Vamshi as an Associate Director for Mahatma.

As a director and screenwriter he marked his debut with Bollywood film, Login. The suspense thriller film starred Himanshu Bhatt, Radhika Roy, Akkash Basnet, Rashmi Gautam and Nandini Rai in lead roles. The movie was remade into Telugu as Ladies & Gentlemen, which also received positive reviews. He scripted the Telugu version, which was received well at box office. After that he has completely switched on to Telugu movies. He also owns a production company, under which he co-produces films. His recent flick in Telugu ABCD – American Born Confused Desi received average reviews from critics. He also directed one music video, Oh Yuvatha in 2017.
