Samiksha Biography

Samiksha Jug is a popular actress of south Indian cinema who concentrates on Telugu and Tamil movies. Now she acts in Punjabi movies as well. Her other name is Samiksha Singh and also pronounced as Sameksha. She debut big screen in 2004 with Telugu movie, 143 aside another debutant Sairam Shankar. However the movie produced and directed by Sairam Shankar’s brother Puri Jagannadh was a box office failure. In 2013, she has debut Punajabi film industry with the movie, Lucky Di Unlucky Story and has appeared in a couple of films – Kirpaan and Jatts In Golmaal. Arinthum Ariyamalum in 2005 marked her Tamil debut and Madana, the following year marked her Kannada debut.

She is a Punjabi girl born in Patiala. Sameksha is an Electronic Engineer and her big screen debut happened in the year 2004 with Telugu movie, 143. After her failure entry, she was noticed by her second movie, Arinthum Ariyamalum released in Tamil the next year where she played the role of Sandhya. This role gave her appreciation as well as best Debut Actress in Tamil industry award. Then she appeared in a series of Tamil movies like Manathodu Mazhaikalam, Thee Nagar, Mercury Pookkal, Muruga, Panchamirtham and Karthikai. She also appeared in a Hindi movie, Mr. Hot Mr.Kool.

In between she appeared in several television commercials, print ads and television serials. Zaara Pyaar Ki Saugat, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Arjun and the most recent Buddha (2013) are her television appearances. Johnson and Johnson, Maruti Suzuki, Zatak cool talc, Tang, Sunsilk, Santro Xing and Metro tyres are her popular television ads. She has also appeared as a model for univercell mobile.
