Sameer Hasan Biography

Sameer Hasan is a south Indian actor associated with Telugu movies and television shows. He was a contestant of celebrity show, Bigg Boss Telugu Season 1. He along with his wife Aparna won the very popular celebrity couple show on MAA TV, Moguds Pellams. They won gold worth 2 and half lac rupees in the final round of the show. Sameer has been associated with entertainment world since the glorious era of Doordarshan in the early 1990s, through which he got offers to films.

Sameer Hasan hails from Visakhapatnam, and he celebrates his birthday on February 25. He was born to a Muslim father Intikhab Hasan and Hindu mother Mahalakshmi. He has one sister. He spent his childhood days with his grandmother, when his parents were out of the country for job reasons. His schooling was completed in Chennai, and he took deep interest in acting, painting and sports since young. He completed his graduation from his hometown, Visakhapatnam, and is currently settled in the same city with his wife Aparna and kids. Aparna has appeared with him in reality shows, and has won a season of Moguds Pellams, a very popular Telugu show on MAA TV.

As an actor, Sameer started off with Doordarshan serials in Telugu. He started acting during his college days and mostly played supporting roles since then. Among his television roles, his role in Ruthu Ragalu got appreciated most. As a film actor he marked his debut with Kamal Hassan starrer Subha Sankalpam in1995 directed by ace director, K. Viswanath. Since then he has done around 50 films in Telugu language. Indra, Simhadri, Sri Rama Dasu, Mass, Sye, Aanasuya, Magadheera etc are some of his noted performances in movies.
