S. R. Prabhu Biography 
S. R. Prabhu is a film producer and distributor associated with Tamil film industry. He started a film production company aside his brother, Dream Warrior Pictures in 2010, under which he has produced some low-budget but highly acclaimed and award winning films like Joker, Aruvi etc based on social themes and some commercial movies also. Joker received National award for best regional film in Tamil for the year 2016, apart from several accolades. Aruvi released in 2017 received overwhelming response from public. The movie was completed on a shoe string budget of 1 crore, after doing three months of rehearsal and pre-production. When the movie got released, it was a blockbuster collecting 35 crore at ticket counters. The movie was also shown at different film festivals.
S. R. Prabhu was born in Gobichettipalayam, Tamil Nadu. He is a relative of the veteran Tamil actor Sivakumar and cousins of leading actors Suriya and Karthi. Prabhu has produced many of their successful films. He actively joined film industry in 2006. He is married to Deepthi Muthusamy. As a co-producer, he started his career in 2006, in association with Studio Green, the company with which he was associated till 2013.
He produced 12 Tamil films and distributed 18 films in Tamil and Telugu, during his tenure with the same company. He produced and distributed the film Sillunu Oru Kaadhal, starring his cousin Suriya, in 2006. He also introduced his cousin Karthi through Paruthiveeran, his next production. Singham, Naan Mahaan Alla, Alex Pandian, Biryani, Komban, Madras etc are a few more movies produced under this banner.
He founded a new production company called Dream Warrior Pictures along with his brother in 2010. Their first production, Saguni (2012), starring Karthi and Pranitha was a hit. Joker, Aruvi, Kaashmora, Kootathil Oruthan etc are a few more notable works.
