Roja Selvamani Biography 
Roja Selvamani is an actress and politician of South India. She was born on 17th November 1972 in Tirupati, India. Then her family moved to Hyderabad. Her birth name was Sree Latha. She learned Kuchipudi and was performing dance for few years before she entered film industry. Her two brothers are Kumaraswamy Reddy and Ramprasad Reddy.
She finished her Masters degree in Political Science from Nagarjuna University. She married R. K. Selvamani, the film director 21st August 2002 in Chittoor. Her daughter Anshu Mallika was born on 10th September 2003. She is a hobby costume designer and hairstylist. She helps other actresses with their hair styles during shootings. The actress Meena is her close friend.
She entered film industry through Telugu films. Her first movie was Prema Dhapassu. The entire movie was shot in Tirupati. She was introduced to Tamil film industry by the director R. K. Selvamani through the film Chembaruthi with Prasanth. This was a hit movie and gave her good name in Tamil film industry. She was popular for her song Veloor Maman in the film Makkal Aatch with Mammootty and the song Mastana Mastana in the film Raasiyya with Prabhu Deva.
The film that gave her breakthrough in Tamil was Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen by Vikraman. Her 100th movie was Pottu Amman. In the films Arasu and Parijaatham she appeared in supporting roles. Some of the films that she acted are Uzhaippaali, Raasaiyya, Parambarai, Ayutha Poojai, Sari Gama Pada Ni, Veera, Ahiradipadai, Puthumai Pithan, Tamil Selvan, Vallal, Kadavul, Mugam, Ooty, Big Boss, Pokkiri Raja, Vajram, Alagarsamy, House Full, Kurushethram, etc.
She joined Telugu Desam and started her political career. She was the president of woman wing of Telugu Mahila. In the 2009 state elections, she was defeated for the second time in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly elections. She is in the political movement of Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy at present.
