Riya Suman Biography

Riya Suman is an Indian Model and Actress from Mumbai, who appears in south Indian films. Till now she has done two Telugu films, and has signed her first Tamil project. She marked her screen debut with 2016 film Majnu which faired average at box office. She was paired with Nani in her debut flick. Her second flick, Paper Boy was released in 2018, and she was paired with Santosh Sobhan in this romantic drama. This movie also received average reviews from critics. In 2019 she signed her first project, Seeru opposite Jiiva, and the movie is yet to hit theatres.

Riya Suman hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. She belongs to a Sindhi business family, and was born in year 1994. During her graduation days in Mumbai, she was quite active in cultural events and also participated in stage dramas. She later did diploma in acting course from Anupam Kher's School of Acting, Mumbai. Then she decided to try her luck in films and moved towards south. Marked her debut in 2016 while doing graduation, she has done three movies till now, and waiting for more projects. She completed her studies before accepting more film projects. She did her second film only after graduation.

Both her released films managed to give her favourable reviews from film critics. She played Dharani, an independent girl hailing from the Gadwal Reddy family in her second flick, Paper Boy. When she came into the movies, her name was Priya Shri. As many actors in the industry share the same name, she decided to change hers. People have been calling her Riya Suman, which is her actual name. So she decided to keep her original name.
