Riddhi Sen Biography

Riddhi Sen is a young Bengali actor of 16, who is associated with Films and Theater. He is the son of noted cine artist Kaushik Sen and the grandson of famous theatre personality Chitra Sen. He works in both Bengali and Bollywood films. Chauranga (2016) – was his last released Bollywood film, where he played the pivot role of Bajrangi. Showcased at different film festivals in the past two years, it received numerous awards including Golden Gateway of India for Best Film (India Gold) at Mumbai Film Festival 2014 and Grand Jury Prize for Best Film at 13th Indian Film Festival Of Los Angeles 2015.

Open Tee Bioscope (2015) is his latest Bengali release - a coming of age story of an adolescent boy and his friends, where he played the male protagonist. He also played lead role in Bollywood film - Children of War. Chirodini Tumi Je Amar 2, Kahaani (Hindi), Iti Mrinalini and Dushman No. 1 are his other releases. He is currently associated with theatre group Swapnasandhani as a teenager. Started off as a child artist, Birpurush (2010), Macbeth (2012) and Life of Galileo (2012) are his recent theatre works.

He did his first role as a stage actor at the age of three and a half. Since then he loved the art of acting and has been associated with theatre. During his teens, he did a three-month acting course at Central School of Speech and Drama, London University. He has been inspired a lot by Robert De Niro and he has watched Hollywood movies since young. Though he is only 16 right now, the actor feels that he can handle the roles of both 16 and 30 years. He has done a small, significant role in Vidya Balan starrer Kahani as Poltu, a worker at a tea-stall who assists Vidya as a good companion.
