Rajkummar Rao is a successful Bollywood actor most known for the supporting role of commercial hit - Kai Po Che! He played the role of Govind, the intellectual mathematics teacher and one among the three leading heroes of the movie. This movie earned him Filmfare supporting actor nomination. In 2013, he played lead role in Shahid, for which he won Filmfare best actor (critics) award. Thus year 2013 gave two box-office hits for Rao, despite being low budget movies. He debut with Love Sex aur Dhokha in 2010 and appeared in Shaitan, Ragini MMS and Talaash.

Rajkummar Rao was born in Gurgaon in the year 1984 and was active in theater since school days. He graduated in Arts from Delhi University. He also did theatre with Kshitij Repertory and SRC in Delhi while during graduation. In the year 2008 he graduated from FTII, Pune before entering mainstream cinema. He regularly visited film directors and film locations and bagged up a major role in Love Sex aur Dhokha when its director Dibakar Banerjee was in search of newcomers for the movie. It was Ekta Kapoor’s Ragini MMS which gave him next opportunity. This movie too was a box office hit. Again he appeared in another critically well acclaimed movie – Shaitan, for which he received good reviews.

Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2, Chittagong and Talaash were his 2012 releases, where he was seen in supporting role. He played Aamir Khan’s junior officer’s role in Talaash. Kai po che was one of the major roles in his career. He was paired opposite Amrita Puri, the only heroine of the movie. His upcoming movies are Queen, Hamari Adhuri Kahaani, City lights and Dolly Ki Doli.
