Rajesh Sharma (malayalam Actor) Biography

Rajesh Sharma is a Malayalam film actor best known for supporting roles. He is also a gifted stage actor, who won Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Academy award for best stage actor thrice. He won the awards for the plays - Ambalapravu (2001) "Makkalkoottam"(2010) and " Section 302 -Murder" (2013). A graduate from Sopanam Kalakendram in Kollam, he started with theater before moving to films. As a film actor, he was first seen in 2005 award winning film directed by Dr. Biju – Saira. But later he got active in theatre, and returned to films only in 2014 through Annayum Rasoolum. Since then he is regular in films. Malayalam blockbuster, Theevandi (2018) is his most recent release. His roles in Annayum Rasoolum, Aanandam and Oru Vadakkan Selfie got noticed.

Rajesh Sharma was born at Kollam in Kerala in 1973. Passion towards acting and theater since young, prompted him to study drama. He completed the course from Sopanam Kalakendram in Kollam in 1996, before he turned a full-fledged stage artist. In a career spanning to more than 2 decades, he acted in more than 50 dramas. Most recently he displayed his histrionics on stage for the play, Ekantham, where he played the protagonist. The play was an adaption of Chekov’s The bet.

As a film actor, he is best known for the supporting roles he played for Malayalam movies such as Annayum Rasoolum, Ezra, Loham, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, Homely Meals, Kappiri Thuruthu, Aanandham, Kanyaka Talkies, Ben, Charlie, Eeda, Bonsai, Mariyam Mukku, Swathandriam Ardharathriyil, Thobama, Theevandi etc. He played the role of bus driver in youth oriented film, Aanandham. Currently he is associated with theatre group Prakash Kalakendram, based in Kollam.
