Raj Singh Chaudhary Biography

Raj Singh Chaudhary is a Bollywood actor, model and screenwriter. He is best known for the critically acclaimed movie, Gulaal where he played lead role. He also played male protagonist in Bollywood flicks like Waiting Room (2010) and Antardwand (2010). Kuch Naa Kaho, Ek Anhonee and Black Friday are other noted films. As a scriptwriter, his association with Anurag Kashyap is quite popular and has delivered many critically acclaimed movies such as No Smoking, Gulaal and Black Friday. No Smoking has garnered a strong cult following, and its climax does have multiple interpretations.

Chaudhary was born and brought up in Darjeeling. He was born on July 23, 1975. He completed software engineering from BMS College of Engineering and also started his own IT firm at Bangalore. But his business partners betrayed him and he moved to Mumbai to start a fresh new beginning. He drew experiences from his college life and ragging and wrote the script of Gulaal. Anurag Kashyap re-wrote the story written by Raj and the movie was highly appreciated by critics. He got associated with Kashyap as a scriptwriter for serious theme based movies like No Smoking and Black Friday too.

He also assisted Kashyap in the sets of Black Friday and acted in the movie as well. Earlier he has also done a bit role in Kuch Naa Kaho, Bunty aur Bubli etc.  Later he appeared in small roles in movies like Do Dooni Chaar, Myoho, Meridian Lines etc. He has also participated in reality dance show – Nach baliye.he played the role of Inspector Suraj Rathore in TV Series, Adaalat.
