Radhika Sadanah Biography

Radhika Sadanah, also known as Roshini is a former actress associated with south Indian film industry. She is best known for playing the female lead in Tamil film - Thulli Thirintha Kaalam (1998) opposite Arunkumar which did average business at box office. But she is better known as the sister of famous film star Jyothika who ruled Tamil cinema in the early 2000s. She is also the half-sister of Nagma, a ruling queen of Tamil cinema in the mid-1990s. She was born into a filmy family. Chander Sadanah, a film producer, and Seema Sadanah, formerly known as Shama Kazi are her parents. Famous Tamil actor Suriya is her brother-in-law.

Brij Sadanah – famous film producer and director of Bollywood who shot his wife and committed suicide was his paternal uncle. Her aunt Sayeeda Khan was also a former Bollywood actress. The unfortunate incident happened on the birthday eve of Radhika’s cousin Kamal Sadanah who was the only survivor of the incident. She also lost her cousin sister in this incident. Noted screenwriter of Mahesh Bhatt camp -   Shagufta Rafique is rumored to be daughter of Brij Sadanah, and thus her cousin. Kamal Sadanah also named fame as an actor and director. Radhika’s brother Suraj is an assistant director of Priyadarshan.

She got her first break to Tamil films after the recommendation of her elder sister Nagma, who was already an established star of Tamil film industry with hit movies like Baasha, Kaathalan etc. She made her film debut with the Kannada film Gulabi in 1996, followed by her first Tamil film – Sishya in 1997. She was paired with Karthik in the drama film directed by Selva. Same year she made her Telugu film debut through Master starring Chiranjeevi. She played second lead in this film. She got noticed through the next release - Thulli Thirintha Kaalam (1998). But later she disappeared from the film scene. She is currently settled in USA.
