R. S. Shivaji Biography 
R. S. Shivaji is a noted character artist associated with Tamil and Telugu films. He has also done brief roles in a few Bollywood movies too. He has excelled in comic roles, and frequently collaborates with Kamal Haasan movies and Raaj Kamal Films International, where he also plays the roles of assistant director, sound engineer and line producer. Shivaji is the son of actor and producer M. R. Santhanam, who was associated with Tamil cinema in the golden era of films. Actor-director Santhana Bharathi is his brother. Tamil actor Sanjay Bharathi is his nephew.
R. S. Shivaji was born into a filmy family. His father M. R. Santhanam has been associated with Tamil talkies since mid-1940s as an actor and producer. His family members such as his brother M. R. Santhanam and his nephew Sanjay Bharathi too work in Tamil film industry. Shivaji too excelled as a comic actor of Tamil and Telugu films. He is fully active in the film industry since 1980s, and has done many memorable roles throughout 1980s and 1990s. He played the role of a comedian in several Kamal Haasan films. Apoorva Sagodharargal (1989) directed at Janagaraj remains one of his most popular role aside Kamal Hassan. His comedy dialogue, "Deivamae! Neenga Engeyo Poiteenga, sir" to Janagan was an instant hit, and still parodied by stage actors and trolls, and also spoofed in many Tamil movies later.
He completed his graduation in Psychology in 1981. After that he got fully active in film scene, carrying different kinds of roles. He worked as a Line Producer in Rajkamal Films International from January 2003 to November 2009, and was also associated with Eshan Productions, and Green Apple Company in the same role. As a film actor, some of his recent films are Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae, Vanamagan, Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum etc.
