Priya Prakash Varrier is an upcoming actress associated with Malayalam cinema. She shot to fame 28-second video clip trailer for a song surfaced net. She was seen winking flirtatiously in one scene, and the video went viral over net. Her winking became an instant hit. The video song - Manikya Malaraya Poovi from her debut film - Oru Adaar Love, published on YouTube on 9 February 2018, received over 10 million hits by 14 February and she became the most searched person on net. Apart from Malayali viewers, she also earned appreciation from other parts of the world. She hails from Thrissur, and currently working on one Malayalam film. Priya is also a model by profession.

Priya Prakash Varrier hails from Punkunnam, Thrissur main town. Her father works in central excise department. She is a model turned actress who marks her film debut with Oru Adaar Love, the movie slated to release in 2018. The movie includes a bunch of newcomer teenagers and she is one among them. Soon after the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi got released, the search result for ‘Priya Prakash’ sky-rocketed in the next 24 hours, and she became a celebrity overnight. Her rising eye brows for an eye wink made the video distinct one.

Originally a Mapilla pattu (Muslim song of Malabar), it describes the love between the Prophet Muhammad and his first wife Khadeeja. But some Muslims found its lyrics offended due to bad google translator, and some groups declared a fatwa against the song. Roshan Abdul Rahoof is the boy who was featured aside her in the song.

After the video went viral over the net, she became the most searched female celebrity in India during the Valentine’s week 2018. In fact she beat Bollywood divas Sunny Leone, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt on Google search trends. Her special and spectacular eye wink at a boy in a Malayalam song stunned millions of netizens, and the song registered more than 20 million views in week first, and she became a sensation among youth and a national celebrity. She also earned 3 millions of followers in instagram in a single day.

Though acting was not a great passion to her, soon after receiving her film offer, she became excited. She got film offers from other regional languages too. Yet she has decided to take another project only after completing this one. Currently Priya is a first year commerce student at Vimala Women’s college, Thrissur.
