Prachi Shah Biography

Prachi Shah is a successful television actress and seasoned Bollywood actress. She is also a trained classical dancer. She played supporting roles in Bollywood movies like Akaash Vani, Student of the Year, Haunted - 3D, Isi Life Mein and most recently in Raja Natwarlal where she portrayed the role of Deepak Tijori’s widow. She is active in film industry since early 2010s. She entered television industry in the early 2000s and still one of the popular actresses of small screen. A top lead actress of small screen, she played female protagonist or parallel lead in the television series – Kundali, Kahin Diyaa Jale Kahin Jiyaa and Kesar.

Currently she is also hosting music show - Rangoli on DD National in the Sunday mornings. She also portrays the role of Kalindhi Kiloskar in the television series - Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?...Ek Baar Phir. Kundali, Piya ka ghar, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kesar, Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam, Kayamath and Kahin Diyaa Jale Kahin Jiyaa are her popular television roles. The actress became a household name after playing the character of Pooja Virani in Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She has also exhibited her dancing talent through the popular shows on TV. Most recently Prachi opened the Lord Krishna festival at Isckon temple with her outstanding performance.

The actress is married to Vishwas Pandya and she took a small break from industry post her delivery. The actress has a daughter, Khiana. She lost 26 kilos after delivery to be back in her acting career. Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam – marked her come back, in the role of a mother. The actress has also acted in Marathi movies like Vichar Tharla Pakka.
