Palnati Surya Pratap Biography 
Palnati Surya Pratap is a successful film director and screenwriter associated with Tollywood. Pratap made his directorial debut with Current in 2009, which was a box office hit. Later he directed the films - Kumari 21F, which cemented his position in the film industry. He wrote the script of 1: Nenokkadine and Rangasthalam, and currently working as a director for an untitled project. He directs movies under Sukumar movie banner.
Palnati Surya Pratap was born on 13 January 1978 in Bhadrachalam of Khammam district, present-day Telangana state. Before he turned an independent filmmaker, he worked as an Assistant director in Suresh Productions, under the directors like Editor Mohan and Sukumar. He started screenwriting and dialogue writing before he turned a full-fledged film director in 2009. Since then he has directed three movies, winning accolades.
Pratap was a creative child since childhood days. He was interested in cultural events since school days, and he regularly participated in them. He used to write poems right from childhood and got many state level awards in the English poetry. By the time he reached college, he started writing plays. He got 3 state level awards for Best Writer and Best Director. He has worked one year in All India Radio as a writer soon after completion of graduation. Later he pursued MCA, but discontinued studies because of his passion towards cinema. Thus he joined as an Assistant Director under Suresh Productions, where he got opportunity to work under different directors.
By the time he started writing screenplays, he narrated one of his scripts to Annapurna Studios. They got interested in the script and gave him the opportunity to direct the film. His debut film, Current was a box office hit. His second film, Kumari 21F starred Raj Tarun and Hebah Patel and it became the 12th highest grossing Telugu film of the year.
