Nishikant Dixit Biography

Nishikant Dixit is a popular actor of Hindi soaps, best known for playing the role of Shambu Tripathi in Ishq Ka Rang Safed. His roles as Raja ram in the television serial Maayke Se Bandhi Dor and Kamlakar Tripathi in Chintu Chinki Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story also earned him a lot of appreciation. Apart from donning character roles on small screen, he also appears in TV commercials and has made brief appearances on big screen in the past. In 2018 he made a comeback to big screen after a short break through Parmanu, where he played the supporting role of an Officer in PM Office. He has done more than 25 films since 2004.

Nishikant Dixit was born on 13 January 1970 in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. His father worked in government service, while his mother is a homemaker. He was brought up in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. For higher studies he moved to Aurangabad, where he completed electronics engineering from Marathwada Institute of Technology. Since younger days, he dreamt to become an actor, and finally he succeeded in his aim to become an actor. Now also he visits his hometown regularly so as to encourage those who dream a career in entertainment industry, and promote their talent. He is regular in family functions, and also appears as guest.

As a film actor he was first seen in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Deewar released in 2002. Since then he started playing brief roles on silver screen, and also accepted small screen roles. Though he has done more than 2 dozen of big screen roles, he tasted success through numerous character roles he played on small screen; Maayke Se Bandhi Dor, Chintu Chinki Aur Ek Badi Si Love Story, Piya Rangrezz, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, Jaat Ki Jugni etc to mention a few.
