Niharica Raizada is a noted film actress associated with Bollywood. She also appears in Bengali and Gujarati movies. She played female lead in Bollywood horror thriller, 6-5=2 in 2014 through which she gained recognition, and also the controversial film, Waarrior Savitri where she played titular role of Savitri. She was also seen in a special appearance role in critically acclaimed Mashaan, and did an item song for Bengali film, Damadol in 2013. She is the granddaughter of great Hindi music director, O. P. Nayyar. Niharica is also a successful model by profession and a beauty pageant winner. She was Miss India UK 2010 and also finished as first runner-up of Miss India Worldwide 2010.

Her full name is Niharica Kumari Raizada. She was born in Luxembourg, Europe. She belongs to O. P. Nayyar’s family and is his granddaughter. Her mother tongue is French. Niharica has one brother and one sister. A researcher by qualification, Niharica studied MRres in Translational Medicine in Imperial College London. Later she did research in Cardiology at Johns Hopkins University. But her passion to the art field prompted her to pursue studies from New York Film Academy. She also learnt western classical music and ballet.

She has been a successful model before she moved to India to pursue a career in movies. She was crowned Miss India UK 2010 and was also the first runner-up of Miss India Worldwide 2010. Niharica made her film debut in a Bengali film Damadol in 2013, where she was seen in an item song. After that she gained attention through parody songs she released in YouTube.  She made her Bollywood debut in 2014, playing the female lead in 6-5=2, and later played supporting roles in Masaan, Baby, Alone etc. She bagged her second lead role through Waarrior Savitri. The movie was banned in many places for its controversial subject, and had a low key release in 2016.
