Nawab Shah (actor) Biography

Nawab Shah is a Hindi film actor who also appears in television shows. He entered entertainment world playing supporting roles on small screen in the 1990s. His antagonist role as Mayor JJ (Jai Kumar Janardhan) in iconic series, Shaktimaan earned him instant fame and later he received film offers. As a film actor he marked his film debut with year 2000 delayed release, Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya. After that he acted in many Bollywood and south Indian films, predominately doing antagonist roles. His antagonist role as a terrorist in Malayalam film Keerthi Chakra (2006) was well appreciated. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Don 2, Tiger Zinda Hai, Humshakals, Lakshya, Dilwale, Escape From Taliban etc are some of his best Bollywood works. Currently he is associated with both films and TV shows.

 

Nawab Shah entered acting scene in the 1990s playing supporting and negative roles. His most memorable role is Shaktimaan. He joined films in the year 2000, and mostly played villain roles onscreen. He played terrorist type of roles multiple times on big screen. He is equally popular in Hindi and south Indian film industry, and has worked in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films.

 

His best roles in Telugu include - Devi Putrudu (2001) and Dictator (2016).  He worked in Tamil films - Gajendra (2004), Bose (2004) and Yaan (2014). Among all south Indian languages, he shot to fame playing villain roles in Malayalam films. Apart from terrorist role in Keerthi Chakra, he played negative roles in Kaakki, Roudram, Black Dalia, Rajadhi Raja etc. Among his Bollywood movies, his antagonist role in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don 2 is most memorable.  He has also appeared in Hindi television shows, Naagarjuna – Ek Yoddha, Amma, Saarrthi, Indian etc.
