Mohit Marwah Biography

Mohit Marwah is a Bollywood actor who made his Bollywood debut through 2014 June release – Fugly opposite another newcomer Kiara Advani. The movie with a strong message also starred Jimmy Shergill, Vijender Singh and Arfi Lamba in pivot roles. He is the grandson of the film producer Surinder Kapoor. Thus he is the nephew of Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sridevi and Sanjay Kapoor and first cousin to Rhea Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. He is born as the eldest son to Reena Marwah and Sandeep Marwah, co-founder of Noida Film City. He has attended many international acting schools before his Bollywood debut.

He was born in 1987 and attended Don Bosco School and University of Delhi. His childhood was spent at Delhi itself. He also took Diploma in film making from Asian Academy of Film & Television before his film debut. He also worked as an assistant director of Vikram Bhatt for a brief period. He also studied at Lee Strasberg Acting School and appeared in short films, "The Audition" produced by Akshay Marwah and "Strangers in the night" produced by Karan Johar. During his stay in New York, his cousin Rhea also joined him and they rented an apartment together.

After that he regularly attended auditions and bagged the title role of Fugly. He was roped in by Akshay Kumar for the title role. The movie was directed by Kabir Sadanand and it also marked the debut of heroine Kiara Advani and Olympic Bronze-Madallist Vijendra Singh. The highly hyped movie released in 2014 June received negative response from public.
