Mithila Palkar Biography

Mithila Palkar is an actress who gained recognition through the web series ‘Girl in the City’ and 'Little Things'. She also appeared in Dice Webs series. She played Imran Khan's sister in Bollywood film Katti Batti, and as per latest buzz, she is to play her first lead role in Bollywood. The untitled film also marks the Bollywood debut of south Indian sensation, Dulquer Salman, and hence Mithila enjoys limelight at present.

 

She belongs to Mumbai, born on 12 January 1993. She took decision to become a part of entertainment industry at the age of 21, and started off with a You Tube video, ‘Confusing things a girl say’. After that she appeared in a short film titled, "Maza Honeymoon” in 2014. The short film was showcased in 16th Mumbai Film Festival. In 2015 she bagged her first Bollywood film, Katti Batti, where she played Imran Khan's sister. But the film with Kangana Ranaut in the lead role was a box office flop. Her Cup-beat version of Marathi song 'Hi Chal Turu Turu' went viral over net, and very soon she started working in web series. She turned You tube sensation through web series ‘Girl in the City’ and 'Little Things'. Her single, "Maharashtra Desha” also got noticed.

 

In 2017, she marked her film debut through Marathi film, Muramba directed by Varun Narvekar. She played female lead opposite Amey Wagh. The movie’s trailer was so interesting that Bollywood stars like Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn tweeted it, and gave good opinion as well. She is to mark her debut in Bollywood in a lead role opposite Dulquer Salman in an untitled film. As per reports, she is not playing Dulquer’s love interest. Irrfan Khan plays a pivot role in the film. It’s Mithila’s dream to work with Ranbir Kapoor in a film.
