Meher Vij Biography

Meher Vij is a character artist associated with both movies and television. Her supporting roles are widely appreciated. Most recently she was seen playing the role of Shahida’s mother in 2015 blockbuster Bajirangi Baijaan, for which she received appreciation. She works in Bollywood and Hindi TV serials. Earlier she has played bit roles in Bollywood movies like Lucky: No Time for Love, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Humsaaya etc. She is married to Manav Vij, an actor associated with Punjabi and Hindi movies & television. Her brother Piyush Sahdev is a television actor.

Her real name is Vaishali Sahdev and she was born in Delhi in the year 1986. She has one elder brother, Piyush Sahdev active in television, known for the roles - Lord Rama in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and Kabir in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. She married her co-star Manav Vij in 2009 and changed her name to Meher Vij. Manav has been a professional doctor also before entering television. She took a break after marriage and returned to small screen in 2013. She returned to acting with the television series - Yeh Hai Aashiqui, on Disney Bindass. She was last seen in Ram Milayi Jodi before the break.

Meher was featured in the short film Pied Piper, produced by Magic Lantern Productions which was premiered at various film festivals. Kis Desh Main Hai Mera Dil and Ram Milaayi Jodi are her popular television works. She appeared alongside her husband in 2013 Punjabi movie - Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar. She met Manav for the first time in the sets of Kis Desh Mein Hain Mera Dil. They worked together for the series and got attracted to each other. When Meher’s mother was seriously ill, Manav supported her a lot to think positively which strengthened the relationship. They got married in 2009.
