Manushi Chhillar Biography 
Manushi Chhillar is a very successful model from Haryana, India who won the most prestigious Miss World 2017 title at Sanya City Arena in China on 18th November, 2017. Formerly she was chosen as Femina Miss India 2017, and she has been a semifinalist in the Top Model, People's Choice, and Multimedia competitions, and also a co-winner of the Beauty with a Purpose competition. Manushi is only the 6th Indian to win this title, and she won it after a long wait of 17 years after Priyanka Chopra in 2000, exactly the same year when India bagged all the three major international beauty pageants – Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Asia Pacific by Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra and Diya Mirza respectively. Manushi is now 20 years old when she is crowned the new Miss World.
Manushi Chhillar was born on 14 May 1997, almost three years after Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai were crowned Miss Universe and Miss World titles respectively. She was only three years old when Priyanka won this major title for India for the fifth and last time. Both her parents, Mitra Basu Chhillar and Neelam Chhillar are doctors. Her father is a scientist at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, while her mother is an associate professor at Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences. Manushi is a trained Kuchipudi dancer, and she has also attended the prestigious NSD.
Chhillar took part in the Femina Miss India 2017 competition on 25 June 2017 where she won the title. She also won the subtitle of Miss Photogenic and got opportunity to represent India at Miss World content to be held at Sanya City Arena in China in November this year. On 18 November 2017, Chhillar was crowned Miss World 2017 by previous year’s winner, Stephanie Del Valle. Stephanie Hill of England was titled the first runner up, while Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was the second runner up.
Chhillar also won Beauty with a Purpose award at the event earlier on Saturday before she was crowned Miss World. 118 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. She is currently a student of Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat, Haryana. She enjoys swimming in her free time and also has a keen interest in poetry. She likes painting too. She is a brilliant student, has a flair for the English language, and was the All-India CBSE topper in English, in Class 12.
