Malini Sharma is a one-hit wonder of Bollywood who played the pivot role of Malini/ Evil spirit in the blockbuster hit of 2002 – Raaz. Made on a very moderate budget below 5 crores, Raaz went on to become the biggest hit of 2002 and established Bipasha basu as a star. However after her debut flick, Malini never appeared on celluloid screen. She played supporting role with screen name ‘Malini’ itself, who later turns an evil spirit and antagonist of the film. The movie was one among the best horror thrillers ever made on Bollywood and it began a new season of horror series, that’s still continuing.

Malini was an established model before she debut Bollywood and she was also featured in the popular remixed version of the song - Kya Soorat Hai by Bombay Vikings. But with the movie Raaz, she became an overnight star. She also received Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut for the year 2002. She belongs to Delhi and her modelling career brought her to Mumbai. Her height and slim figure attributed a lot to her success in the modelling career.

She along with Priyanshu Chatterjee has done many ramp walks together. Love blossomed between them and they got married. They took modelling by storm and Malini was also featured in several advertisements. However their marriage ended in a divorce in 2001. She made her film debut through Raaz after her divorce. Her role as jealous ghost was the highlight of the movie. The popular romantic track – Aap ke pyar mein was pictured on Dino Morea and Malini. She appeared in CATS, series on Sony TV in which she shared screen space with two former Miss Indias, Nafisa Joseph and Karminder Kaur. She has also appeared as a celebrity judge for fashion shows.
