Malavika Jayaram Biography

Malavika Jayaram is into fashion & modelling industry and is a fashion model, based in Chennai. She is also a sports enthusiast who completed her studies in this field abroad, but got into fashion industry. Unlike her star parents of south Indian film industry - Jayaram and Parvathy, and brother - Kalidas Jayaram, an upcoming actor she chose a different field for her career, and is not in a mood to join acting line.

Malavika Jayaram belongs to a family with strong acting field. Her father Padma Shri Jayaram is a prominent face of Malayalam cinema since mid-1980s, and he is quite popular in Tamil movies too. Her mother Parvathy, a prominent face of Malayalam cinema since late 1980s till early 1990s is a household name among Malayali audiences. Her brother Kalidas Jayaram is also a national award winning actor. She was brought up in Chennai.

She studied BA history from Stella Mary’s College, Chennai. As she was interested in sports, she had already made her mind to study sports for post-graduation. She studied Sports Management in UK. In fact she loved to work in the field of sports, though destiny brought her to the world of sports. However she has decided not to join acting field. After working in fashion industry for some time, she may take job in sports management field.

One of her friends is a fashion stylist at Milan, who introduced her to the world of fashion. She became a part of a bridal campaign, where she turned a model, and she came to limelight with her debut in fashion industry itself. She also got full support from her family to choose a field which she preferred to.
