Lucky Morani Biography

Lucky Morani is a leading fashion designer, model and Bollywood film actress. She is also associated with theater as a stage actress. A leading name in fashion industry, she also works on event management. In 2015, she made her film debut through Bollywood crime thriller Main Aur Charles, where she played the role of a Psychiatrist, Dr. Ashima. The movie also starred Randeep Hooda, Adil Hussain, Richa Chadda, Tisca Chopra and Alexx O' Nell and was well received by critics. She is married to Bollywood film producer Mohamed Morani. Karim Morani, the director of film production company Cineyug Entertainment is her brother-in-law.

Morani was born in Mumbai, where she completed her school education. She was born into a family with film background. She practically grew up on film sets, watching Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan doing film shooting. She graduated from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, and later took a Diploma in Fashion design from SNDT Women's University. She worked under fashion designer Hemanth Trivedi as an apprentice before joining Cineyug Group Of Companies as a Creative and Event Planner. It was during that time when she ventured into theatre and has been a stage actress for Nadira Babbar’s plays.

As she was born into a film family, she has never hesitated to appear in front of camera. She was having a friendly talk with the film producer Vikram Khatar, when he suddenly insisted her to play the role of a doctor in Main Aur Charles. It was not at all planned and she didn’t get enough time to research for the work. She said yes and landed on to film sets the following day itself.  She was praised by her co-star Adil Hussain at her first shot itself. She just wants to do some meaningful roles even if it is short.
